As a childcare provider, wife, and mom, balancing my day-to-day into consistent routines has helped Lya to fulfill all duties with a minimal chance of failing on any of them. The skills from her past experiences as an administrator have also been a great help in finding quick solutions to unexpected problems. Most importantly, the excitement of providing a loving but innovative learning experience to our children is what keeps us on the constant lookout for new ways and techniques to exceed quality expectations.
As for now, Lya is still working as a private Child caregiver with an assistant at a minimum ratio of 6 children per hourly service. which allows not only to strengthen the daily support but also to provide a higher level of quality in our services.
Eureka Time is more than just a regular children's private service. It's the children's second home and their first School. Therefore, it's important to provide the right tools and the attention they need to work on their life journey at all times. Here's a quick guide that we use to enforce our values in our children:
We work based on daily exercises and multi-language routines to support their 4 core systems of growth: cognitive, social, communication, and motor skills during their first milestones. Our little ones' learning structure is more based on sensorial experiences that will last up until the last stage of their infancy, around 2 years old.
During this stage, exploration begins outside of their little bodies, their surroundings, and in alliance with their object permanence, and parallel play. Using the same core learning system and in accordance with their age, we begin to teach practical daily skills, the exploration of simple boundaries with gentle practices, the recognition of feelings, and the continuing exposure to Spanish and English vocabulary to help comprehension speed and expand their vocabulary, around 2 years old with expand our education to the recognition of feelings in others, empathy, and other core values that allows the child to survive until their paralel phase fisnishes around 5 to 6 years old.
By this age, children are usually comfortable communicating basic needs in their native language with fluid understanding and even conversational skills, depending on the amount of exposure to the Spanish language. We continue to strengthen and structure curricula to provide an easier transition to school days. Kids and parents are always guided through all age experiences.
